Earlier this month we spent a week diving with our good friends from Oceanic Ventures.
There were 9 divers in the group, about half using rebreathers and other technical rigs and half using standard open circuit scuba. Although we were all diving together, we split into two groups with the open circuit folks doing 3 dives most days and the rebreather folks doing 2 two hour dives each day.
Even though, we weren’t really diving together both groups of divers saw sharks on every single dive. One time there were about 15 gray sharks and another we had grays, black tip and white tips reef sharks all at the same time. Of course, we were also seeing turtles, eagle rays, barracuda and tons of other stuff.
