Micronesia, The Island of Kosrae
Kosrae Island is located in the Federated States of Micronesia, an island group in the Pacific Ocean that is north of Papua New Guinea. See the Map of Micronesia below.
You may know about the diving in Palau, diving in Yap with the Mantas, diving in Truk (Chuuk) with the World War II wrecks. Kosrae Island is also in Micronesia, east of Truk and Pohnpei. We are not as well known, which means, you will often have the reefs to yourself!
- Continental Micronesia lands 737's on Kosrae six days a week.
- Welcoming people - the local people are well educated and most speak English. All treat visitors as honored guests.
- Great activities that everyone can enjoy, divers and non-divers alike:
- explore ancient ruins and check out World War II relics
- rainforest and mangrove tours
- butterfly or bird watching
- snorkeling and diving
